About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Contract Controller to lead the day-to-day accounting and finance operations for a growing organization. This hands-on leadership role will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, general accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities while partnering closely with the CFO and executive leadership team. The ideal candidate is a strong accounting professional who enjoys balancing operational execution with strategic financial oversight.

Requirements

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting best practices
Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, general ledger, and month-end close processes.
Proven ability to lead accounting teams while remaining hands-on with day-to-day operations
Strong ERP/accounting system experience and advanced Excel skills
Ability to partner effectively with CFOs, executive leadership, and operational stakeholders
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager or similar accounting leadership role preferred
Experience in construction, general contracting, manufacturing, or project-based environments is highly preferred
CPA designation is a plus
