About The Position

Under general direction, to plan, coordinate, and administer the Office of Acquisition Policy (OAP), a division which oversees outreach, contract and labor compliance, and public/private partnership contracts; supervises OAP staff and oversees daily operation; provides specialized consultation; serves as liaison to County of Alameda (County) agencies/departments, contractors, community-based organizations, and other jurisdictions; and to perform related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university OR equivalent of four (4) years of additional full-time experience may be substituted for the required degree on a year-to-year basis.
  • Four (4) years of full-time, increasingly responsible experience in construction management, contract compliance, equity programs, or industrial relations, including oversight and coordination of outreach and contract administration projects.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations within and outside the County and attend meetings/events outside of standard business hours.
