About The Position

Electrical Utility Contractor has an immediate opening for a Contract Compliance Specialist at our headquarters in Canby, Oregon. Under the direction of the Contract Compliance Manager, this position will work closely with project managers, department heads, subcontractors and outside agencies in managing subcontract and contract documents within the Contracts Department. This position will also work closely with the Legal and Accounting Department. The candidate must be an organized self-starter with the ability to take direction. Must have excellent follow-through and tracking skills. We welcome team-oriented candidates with a willingness to learn. We are willing to train the right candidate that has an interest in developing their skills.

Requirements

  • An associate degree in Business Administration or minimum of 4 years in a professional office setting (Construction experience preferred).
  • Experience or exposure to contract/subcontract agreements preferred.
  • Strong document tracking and follow through skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proofreading, editing and business writing skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook (experience with Sharepoint a plus).
  • Positive approach to problem solving.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction experience preferred.
  • Experience or exposure to contract/subcontract agreements preferred.
  • Experience with Sharepoint a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Compile, distribute and maintain subcontract documents.
  • Review contract agreements and monitor compliance to the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Manage insurance certificates for compliance and obtain updated certificates of insurance.
  • Interface with subcontractors/vendors through verbal and written communication.
  • Assist Wilson project managers and superintendents with all contract/subcontract related documents.
  • Assist with Pre-Liens, bonds and Intents & Affidavits.
  • Complete subcontractor commitments in the Company’s ERP system.
  • Manage, review and track subcontractor certified payroll reports.
  • Track documents for compliance and timely processing.
  • Manage Contract Department documents in Wilson’s corporate electronic filing system.
  • Other clerical and administrative duties to support the Contracts Department.
