About The Position

Kearney and Company is seeking a Contract Closeout Associate to join our team! This role is fully onsite in Washington, DC. The associate will be responsible for developing quality work products that adhere to applicable regulations and customer requirements. They will demonstrate technical competency, knowledge, and professional care commensurate with completion of assignments, and an eagerness to learn and absorb new technical and industry-specific information. This role involves supporting general acquisition processes, including contract closeout, and understanding contract and invoice data to facilitate contract closeout and preparing supporting documentation. The associate will also be responsible for preparing quality deliverables, tracking closeout statistics, and ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, as is the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in accounting or a relevant field
  • Minimum up to 1 year of experience related to general acquisition and procurement processes (Government Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR))
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S citizenship required)
  • Must be able to pass USCP background check
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
  • Previous experience executing contract closeouts for Federal agencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
