This role involves providing fair, respectful, and culturally relevant services to First Nations children and families, adhering to agency by-laws, policies, procedures, and Ontario Child Protection Standards. The worker will develop community links to explore service options, provide ongoing child protection services to a caseload of voluntary and non-voluntary clients, and investigate allegations of child abuse and/or maltreatment. Responsibilities include intervening in crisis situations, assessing risk, determining necessary actions, advocating for support services, coordinating customary care and society placements, and acting as a witness in court matters.
