About The Position

Brigham Young University is seeking a skilled and strategic Contract and Fund Administrator to support the delivery of technology services across campus. This role plays a critical part in managing contracts, vendor relationships, and funding to ensure efficient, compliant, and value-driven technology operations. The Contract and Fund Administrator is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of technology-related contracts funded outside of central IT, including generation, negotiation, administration, and renewal. This individual will collaborate with campus stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to ensure contracts are financially sound, strategically aligned, and effectively managed. This position also supports budgeting and financial oversight, and serves as a key liaison across departments to deliver high-quality contract and vendor management services campus-wide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in finance, business, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in contracting, procurement, or a related environment
  • Experience working with senior/executive stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT contracting or procurement
  • Strong background in vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Expertise in contract negotiation and lifecycle management
  • Financial acumen and fund management experience
  • Ability to translate business and technical requirements
  • Relationship management and stakeholder collaboration
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and technology environments

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage a portfolio of existing and new contracts
  • Oversee contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations
  • Manage purchase orders, invoicing, and vendor coordination
  • Track contract timelines and proactively address expirations
  • Serve as liaison with vendors, Purchasing, Legal, Risk Management, and internal stakeholders
  • Lead contract initiation and development for technology services
  • Collaborate with campus customers, service managers, and vendors to define terms
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and competitive bids
  • Coordinate with Legal Counsel and Risk Management
  • Finalize agreements and support procurement/payment processes
  • Develop and manage budgets for technology funded outside central IT
  • Track expenditures and ensure compliance with approved budgets
  • Provide regular reporting on fund status
  • Support strategic decisions on funding allocations
