Title: Contract Analyst Program: Finance Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in grants or general accounting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, City Passport Portal, Sage Intacct and general ledger accounting software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Related Field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Not-for-Profit agency
  • Experience working with New York City contracts with the Department of Homeless Services, Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and Human Resource Administration in the NYC HHS Accelerator system and through the NYC Payee Information Portal.
  • Strong attention to detail as well as solid organization/time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Experience working with contracts with the New York State Office of Mental Health and using the New York State Grants Gateway system.
  • Experience with the preparation of the New York State Consolidated Fiscal Report
  • Knowledge and experience with the reporting functions of the Intacct accounting and financial management software

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of monthly expenditures of federal, state and city grants
  • Budget to actual reporting on government grants and contracts.
  • Working closely with program directors in planning and preparing annual budget modifications, as needed
  • Preparation of monthly closing entries and requests for reimbursement
  • Communication with the applicable funding sources
  • Preparation and analysis of grant funded program profit and loss statements, variance analysis
  • Program budget development
  • Journal entries for grant personnel, fringe benefits and OTPS expenditures
  • Grant closeouts and adjusting entries, as necessary.
  • Analyze general ledge accounts related to contracts and grants
  • Prepare periodic analyses throughout the year to estimate projected annual spending
  • Collaborating with the Assistant Director of Grants in managing the State & City A/R Tracker per Agency funders
  • Document preparation for audits and desk reviews of city, state, federal grants, and contracts
  • Assist with preparing Organization annual audit schedules and gathering documentation as requested by auditors
  • Updating State and City monthly invoice tracker
  • Assist with Fiscal Year Budgets Annual Review
  • Other projects as assigned by the Assistant Director
