About The Position

This position ensures the terms of awarded project contracts are met and our company’s requirements in those contracts are met. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Able to work independently and under time constraints.
  • 2-5 years from post high school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment.
  • 1-2 years contract administration, project management, contract estimating or applicable work experience
  • Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-year degree in project management, construction management, construction finance or applicable field
  • General knowledge of construction industry and contract requirements

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates proposals and activities of awarded bid contracts
  • Obtains all necessary documents for contracts including bonds, insurance, sublets, etc.
  • Processes pay estimates & prepare subcontractor payments for approval by project manager and payment by AP
  • Processes subcontracts, verifying proper supporting documentation including bonds and insurance
  • Prepare and Report Monthly Subcontractor Payments
  • Perform monthly reconciliation with Knife River sister companies
  • Weekly Communication with Project Managers, Supervisors, Foreman.
  • Alerts internal resources of successful bids and provides proper documentation for them to complete project goals (TERO, Davis Bacon)
  • Track contract performance and record changes
  • Receives and processes requests for deviations from contract specifications and delivery schedules.
  • Final Contract Close out including maintenance bonds
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations
  • Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  • Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
