Position Summary: The Contract Administrator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, maintenance, and auditing of governmental payer contracts within the EPIC Patient Financial System. This role supports timely and correct reimbursement by researching and resolving payment variances. Also, serving as a subject matter resource for Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare reimbursement. The Contract Administrator collaborates with Revenue Cycle, Finance, Corporate Reimbursement, and other hospital operational departments to support strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum: High School Diploma
  • Minimum: 2 years of healthcare billing experience and understanding of governmental reimbursement methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaborator with a positive approach

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Hospital Administration, or a closely related field
  • Knowledge of Payer/Provider contracting
  • Experience with EPIC Resolute Patient Accounting system
  • CRCR, CHFP or other relevant certification

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and audit all governmental payer contracts within the EPIC billing system, ensuring the accuracy of expected reimbursement values and resolving discrepancies between expected and actual payments.
  • Respond to inquiries related to reimbursement methodologies and support analysis of strategic initiatives and regulatory changes
  • Build collaborative relationships across the system, particularly with Revenue Cycle, to promote process improvements and information sharing
  • Maintain current knowledge of Federal Medicare, State Medicaid, and other government regulations updates
  • Participate as a team member in other reimbursement projects, analysis and initiatives as assigned
