About The Position

NAIS is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator or Contract Specialist to support the daily operation and performance of a federal health information technology services contract. This position is designated as Key Personnel. The selected candidate will be proposed as either the primary Contract Administrator/Specialist or the designated alternate. The primary and alternate will provide continuous contract-management coverage and will have authority to act for NAIS on matters related to the daily operation of the contract. Employment is contingent upon contract award, customer acceptance, and successful completion of applicable suitability and onboarding requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience performing contract administration, contract-specialist, program-control, or comparable contract-operations responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of federal contract administration and contractor performance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret contractual requirements and translate them into operational actions.
  • Ability to act within delegated authority on matters involving daily contract operations.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, issue-tracking, and records-management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with government representatives, corporate leadership, technical teams, and subcontractors.
  • Availability during the required 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time coverage period.
  • Ability to satisfy applicable federal suitability, system-access, and onboarding requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least one year of cost-analysis experience.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense cost and software data-reporting sources.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
  • Experience supporting federal information technology, healthcare, or professional-services contracts.
  • Experience monitoring labor, costs, deliverables, schedules, risks, and contract performance.
  • Experience supporting firm-fixed-price task orders or GSA Schedule contracts.
  • Experience coordinating prime contractor and subcontractor performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the successful performance and daily operation of the contract.
  • Serve as an authorized contractor representative for routine contract matters.
  • Coordinate contract activities with program leadership, technical personnel, administrative staff, and authorized government representatives.
  • Monitor contract requirements, deliverables, schedules, action items, and performance obligations.
  • Maintain accurate contract files, correspondence, decisions, approvals, and supporting documentation.
  • Track contractual issues, risks, changes, and customer requests through resolution.
  • Coordinate with program, finance, staffing, security, subcontract-management, and quality personnel.
  • Elevate matters requiring contracting officer, corporate, legal, pricing, or executive review.
  • Maintain effective communication and accountability across the contract team.
  • Coordinate with the designated primary or alternate to ensure uninterrupted coverage.
  • Provide written designation information and other required documentation to the Contracting Officer.
  • Remain available between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, except federal holidays and periods when the Government facility is administratively closed.
