About The Position

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies. This role supports the Los Angeles Community College District's multi-billion-dollar Bond Program, focusing on IT procurement for capital improvement projects. The position involves leading procurement activities, developing solicitation packages, managing the procurement process, and providing strategic recommendations on IT purchasing methods and best practices. The specialist will also support project managers with contract compliance, purchase orders, and approvals, while monitoring various procurement documents and coordinating with public agencies to maximize efficiencies. The role requires proficiency in systems like SAP and Microsoft Office, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an additional four years of directly related experience in lieu of the degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, contract administration, or IT purchasing.
  • Experience purchasing IT hardware, software, and technology services.
  • Knowledge of software licensing models, including SaaS, subscription, and perpetual licensing.
  • Experience negotiating pricing and contract terms for IT goods and services.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, SAP, Adobe Acrobat, and other business systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with California Public Contract Code procurement.
  • Experience using PlanetBids or other electronic bidding platforms.
  • Knowledge of California Higher Education or California Community College procurement practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and administration of IT procurement activities for capital improvement projects.
  • Develop solicitation packages and manage the procurement process through contract award and execution.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on IT purchasing methods, software licensing, and procurement best practices.
  • Support project managers with procurement planning, contract compliance, purchase orders, and required approvals.
  • Monitor contracts, solicitations, purchase orders, and procurement status reports.
  • Coordinate with public agencies and cooperative purchasing organizations to maximize purchasing efficiencies.
  • Utilize systems including SAP, Microsoft Office, and project management software to support procurement activities.
  • Manage multiple procurement projects while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
