About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Contract Administrative Assistant in San Diego, CA. This role will require being in office 4-5 days a week and will have a hybrid/remote schedule. The position involves providing pre and post-award support for the Contracts team, managing and completing incoming contractual work items, and interacting proactively with the Contracts team to manage workflow and daily activities. The role also includes ensuring timely completion and return of contract items, updating and maintaining the Contracts Listing and POCs, managing the Contracts team's schedule in Outlook, and supporting or managing assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Must have a BA/BS or minimum five years business experience.
  • Must have a general understanding of commercial and government contract management.
  • Must have a strong knowledge and use of all Microsoft Office Suite products, specifically Excel skills.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have an excellent customer service attitude, communication skills, and interpersonal skills; must be able to pay attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and make timely and sound decisions.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Minimal travel (less than 10%).

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre and post-award support for the Contracts team.
  • Manage and complete incoming contractual work items to include creation of documents, reports, correspondence and entry of such items into various tracking spreadsheets.
  • Interacting and proactively communicating with the Contracts team on a daily basis to help manage the workflow and daily activities.
  • Ensure all contract items and forms are completed timely and returned to the appropriate Contracts team member for further action.
  • Proactively manage and prioritize work within your queue to effectively execute on a daily basis.
  • Update and maintain Contracts Listing and POCs.
  • Maintain the Contracts team schedule in Outlook, ensuring that all contractual items with due dates are scheduled with reminders.
  • Assume responsibility for the Contracts team’s electronic file organization and management.
  • Support or manage assigned short-term and long-term projects on an on-going basis.
