About The Position

The Contracts Department delivers expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth. As a Sr. Contracts Administrator you'll propose, negotiate, and administer moderately complex development and production contracts for optical systems and antennas that are used on systems to keep our nations safe and facilitate commercial wide band communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus 4 or more years of related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Masters Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience.
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Experience in a contracts function or equivalent experience in DoW contracting.
  • FAR/DFARS knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle several tasks simultaneously.
  • Solid communication skills, computer fluency, agile and effective negotiator with clear explanations required.
  • Applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

Responsibilities

  • Provide contract negotiation and administration on a variety of programs encompassing all phases of the contract life cycle (pre-proposal through contract closeout).
  • Work collaboratively with all levels of program and functional personnel and executive leadership to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
  • Assume a contributing role in proposal development of new and follow-on business and contract change order proposals.
  • Negotiates contracts and amendments with customer or bidder and interfaces with Company management to develop or review contracts for furnishing services, supplies, equipment or other material to the customer.
  • Maintain auditable Contract files.
  • Support audits with Internal / External Government Audit Agencies.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company.
  • Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
