Under the supervision of the VP Finance, the incumbent will assist in the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements. They will ensure effective and efficient internal control within the organization, as well as the timely production of reliable financial information. Occasionally or upon request, they will perform other related tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 7 years of experience (manufacturing environment, accounting firm, and multi-currency environment are important assets).
• CPA (auditor) designation required.
• Bilingual (French and English).
• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel.
• Integrity, discretion, and rigor.
• Analytical thinking, judgment, and business acumen.
• Strong financial and operational analysis skills.
• Time management.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the month-end processes and the annual audit of consolidated financial statements as well as certain subsidiaries.
• Ensure the proper accounting of unusual transactions.
• Document budget variances for specific accounts assigned to them.
• Participate in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
• Supervise the coaching activities of all accounting operations and ensure the efficient production of financial information required by management.
• Supervision of the accounting team.
• Ensure the development of effective and efficient internal controls.
• Participate in internal improvement projects to increase the efficiency of the finance department.
