About The Position

Vetio Animal Health is a growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) dedicated to animal health; we integrate product development with full-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing through a Quality-by-Design process. Our mission is to develop and manufacture products that improve the lives of animals, while ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of all our products to the highest of industry standards. We are seeking a hands-on accounting leader to support financial operations, controls and cost accounting for our pharmaceutical manufacturing subsidiary. Responsible for month‑end close, reporting, inventory & cost accounting, cash management, and partnering with leadership and operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 4–7 years progressive accounting experience, including cost accounting in a manufacturing (pharmaceutical environment an asset).
  • Proven ability to build best practices in standard concepts and procedures within the accounting and finance field
  • Hands‑on cost accounting and inventory valuation experience.
  • Advanced SAP experience (finance configuration, reporting, FI/CO modules preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Brings a solutions-first attitude and a willingness to accept and task ownership of new responsibilities in a fast-growing environment
  • Bring strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management and analytical skills
  • Experience managing audits, tax coordination and internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills

Responsibilities

  • Support month‑end and year‑end close; prepare departmental financials, consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies and compliance procedures.
  • Perform and oversee cost accounting: standard costing, inventory valuation, COGS reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Oversee AR, AP, fixed assets, inventory accounting and related journal entries.
  • Lead cash flow forecasting, treasury activities and banking relationships.
  • Drive budgeting, monthly forecasting and variance analysis; partner with operations, R&D and commercial to explain drivers and identify savings.
  • Coordinate external audits, tax support and regulatory reporting requirements as needed.
  • Participate as the financial lead in optimizing the ERP/accounting systems (SAP) support system configuration, month‑end automation and KPI/reporting development.
  • Manage CAPEX/OPEX reporting and provide operational guidance to ensure profitability and effective budget management
  • Coordinate the annual budget and forecast process
