About The Position

SGA provides a wide range of social services in some of Chicago's most challenged and consistently underserved communities and creates long-term and community-wide change. This role will lead SGA’s Evaluation and CQI efforts to support program improvement, agency learning, and funder reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Human Services, Public Health, Statistics, or related field preferred. (Master’s Degree Preferred)
  • Onsite support to all SGA locations, as needed.
  • Ability to think analytically and utilize data to generate action steps for compliance, improved program effectiveness and quality of service.
  • Advanced knowledge in data collection software, including Excel and competency in Efforts-to Outcomes software preferred.
  • Experience in evaluation, research, and/or data collection techniques preferred
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required.
  • Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and writing skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, independent work ethic.
  • Ability to work varying hours Monday - Friday, Schedule may include some evenings and weekends.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between all agency sites.
  • Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to frequently move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to transport oneself to and from home visits.
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
  • Constantly moves to assist during program activities.
  • At times it may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. for various needs.
  • Frequently moves in outdoor weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a Continuous Quality Improvement program.
  • Manages continuous quality improvement staff and interns, including hiring, performance assessment, and mentoring.
  • Supports the development and delivery of training to SGA staff regarding data collection and reporting.
  • Represent the agency in collaborative/collective impact initiatives, as needed.
  • Advises senior leadership on data system usage and improvement plans.
  • Direct data entry and management conducted by agency staff and provide data entry feedback where needed.
  • Oversees the production/compilation of training and guidance documents for agency data systems utilized by the various programs.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with the data systems experienced by agency staff.
  • Partners with program directors, management, staff, and stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
  • Collects, tracks, and analyzes data to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas for improvement for internal and external audiences.
  • Lead Continuous Quality Improvement team efforts to develop annual Program Evaluation Report.
  • Supports the creation of programmatic tools to support enrollment, performance, and compliance.
  • Provide data reports for agency use in grant and proposal writing, grant compliance reports and agency annual report.
  • Supports plans to implement improvements and to maintain compliance, effectiveness, and quality of SGA programs.
  • Support contractual, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
