About The Position

As a Continuous Improvement Technician, you’ll be part of our Stanley Black & Decker team located in East Longmeadow, MA. This role is responsible for supporting and driving CI initiatives, collaborating across shifts to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and quality. The CI Technician will primarily work the first shift but must be available to stay late as needed to interface with second shift teams. We are the World’s largest tool company. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, operations, or related CI roles.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar CI methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across shifts and departments.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional late shifts, to support second shift operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support CI projects focused on process optimization, waste reduction, and productivity improvement.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and other problem-solving activities.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality.
  • Train and coach associates on CI tools and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, etc.).
  • Document and report progress on CI initiatives to site leadership.
  • Occasionally adjust work hours to stay late (9:30AM-6:00 PM) for second shift engagement and project support.
