About The Position

Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives by contributing to structured, data driven improvement and project management activities. Assists with planning and coordination of improvement projects, including preparing agendas, documenting action items, and tracking progress. Participates on cross functional improvement teams and supports Lean activities such as process mapping, observations, and current state documentation. Assists with data collection, analysis, and basic reporting to support improvement efforts and decision making. Helps document workflows, standard work, and improvement outcomes using approved tools and templates. Supports improvement events and work sessions, including preparation, note taking, and follow up activities. Provides administrative and organizational support to the Continuous Improvement team, including maintaining project files and resources.

Requirements

  • Working toward a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Ability to approach problems thoughtfully, stay organized, and learn basic analytical methods with guidance.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills, with openness to feedback and coaching.
  • Ability to work well with others and learn to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; willingness to learn additional tools (e.g., SharePoint, Visio).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail and follow through.
  • Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
  • MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

  • Interest or coursework in Continuous Improvement, Lean, project management, or process improvement preferred.
