About The Position

The Continuous Improvement and Quality Supervisor will be responsible for leading the site’s continuous improvement and quality strategies for both production and new product development. This role will own all quality initiatives in alignment with the Industrial Sector Quality Function and be the key driver in maintaining best-in-class quality by interfacing with the production team, suppliers, and customers. Additionally, this role will champion continuous improvement efforts by finding opportunities for innovation and greater efficiency in alignment with Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS) standards. This individual will report directly to the Williamsport Plant Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution
  • Five (5)+ years of quality/CI engineering experience in an operations environment
  • Three (3)+ years of experience as a manager of people in an operations environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered. Only candidates that reside within a 50 mile radius of Williamsport, MD (Zip code 21795) will be considered. Active-Duty military service members are exempt from this geographical area limitation
  • Technical knowledge
  • CATIA, Autocad, CI and Lean Principles Process, 3-D printing, Industry 4.0, QMS, ISO 9001, Control Charts/SPC data

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading process improvements, continuous improvement projects, and LEAN manufacturing principles
  • Experience with manufacturing tooling and die design
  • Experience with 3-D printing and AutoCad drawings
  • Experience interfacing with internal customers/departments
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing operations

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site’s Continuous Improvement strategies, applying Lean Six Sigma, and problem‑solving tools to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Mentor and develop team members in CI principles; facilitate kaizen events and root‑cause analysis sessions.
  • Monitor performance metrics and drive accountability for sustained improvements.
  • Submit a CI award annually for the site.
  • Explore ways to continue promoting and incorporating Industry 4.0 best practices at the site.
  • Serve as site technical lead for New Product Development launches and customer-driven engineering changes.
  • Ensure manufacturability, process capability, and equipment readiness for new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Site Tool Maker to ensure seamless launch execution.
  • Lead the deployment of the Quality strategy for both production and new programs
  • Ensure compliance with Eaton, customer, and industry-specific Quality requirements by conducting necessary audits and assessments to determine system effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement a Quality organizational structure capable of supporting strategic initiatives, and lead efforts to integrate quality into short and long range business plans
  • Develop strategies to integrate Quality concepts into the new product development process.
  • Analyze key quality-related operational metrics and perform periodic reviews to evaluate results, establishing action plans to close gaps at the operational level for ongoing production and new product development.
  • Ensure deployment of Eaton’s quality functional excellence tool set and provide input to development plans for functional reports
  • Strive to achieve world class CONC and DPPM.
