About The Position

The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production schedules and customer requirements, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This role involves monitoring production performance, identifying constraints, and implementing corrective actions, as well as managing labor utilization, staffing levels, and resource allocation. The manager will coordinate with various departments to meet operational goals and will lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and waste-reduction initiatives. Additionally, the position focuses on identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and profitability, driving process standardization and best-practice sharing, and fostering employee engagement and continuous learning through coaching, mentoring, and development plans. This role also includes leading change management efforts associated with operational improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Experience supervising teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Lead safety improvement initiatives and investigate incidents as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Monitor production performance, identify constraints, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage labor utilization, staffing levels, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to meet operational goals.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and waste-reduction initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement projects including preparation of Capital Purchases.
  • Drive process standardization and best-practice sharing across operations.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and production employees.
  • Conduct performance reviews and establish development plans.
  • Foster employee engagement and continuous learning.
  • Lead change management efforts associated with operational improvements.
