About The Position

The Continuous Improvement Leader leads cross-functional efforts to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency. This role fosters a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement through coaching, collaboration, and structured problem-solving. It ensures that Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Continuous Improvement are fully integrated into business performance. By empowering frontline-driven safety initiatives, facilitating improvement projects, and mentoring teams, the position builds a foundation of environmental stewardship, operational excellence, and employee engagement that supports long-term success.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, with direct involvement in EHS and/or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other structured improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data analysis tools or reporting platforms.
  • Must be willing to achieve OSHA 30-hour certification in first 6-months on job.
  • Basic understanding of environmental compliance regulations.
  • Basic understanding of occupational Safety and health regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation abilities to empower frontline teams.
  • Effective project management and organizational skills.
  • High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to motivate and influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable working in a multi-site environment with some possible travel.

Responsibilities

  • Champion a proactive safety culture by supporting employee-led safety committees and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with EHS teams to identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement preventive solutions.
  • Support standardization of EHS policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while promoting continuous improvement in safety practices.
  • Lead and facilitate structured improvement events, problem-solving workshops, and cross-functional projects across multiple sites.
  • Coach teams in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other improvement methodologies to build ownership and accountability.
  • Partner with plant leadership to embed continuous improvement into daily operations and long-term strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and adjust approaches as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by recognizing and celebrating frontline-driven contributions.
  • Serve as a visible, approachable coach across facilities, building trust through direct involvement and support.
  • Share success stories across the network to promote consistency, pride, and replication of best practices.
  • Reinforce that sustainable improvements come from employees closest to the work.
  • Work closely with plant managers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
  • Align improvement efforts with company goals and operational priorities.
  • Facilitate training and workshops to build continuous improvement capabilities at all levels.
  • Lead change management activities to support adoption and sustainment of new processes.
