About The Position

This role is responsible for leading the continuous improvement strategy for the entire process, from tendering to delivery, encompassing both Front-end & Core operations. The Continuous Improvement Leader will animate continuous improvement on operational processes within the plant, based on Client Performance. This includes challenging and following Kaizen events, and in some cases, leading them. A key aspect of the role is leading the deployment of smart factory solutions, acting as the point of contact for the IPM and global smart factory leader. The position involves defining and executing yearly action plans to build productivity, monitoring their progress, and ensuring the achievement of Direct Labor Productivity targets. The leader will report Direct Labor Productivity using standard tools and processes and ensure the sustainability of the client's Production System (SPS) level in the plant through transversal animation and implementation of action plans. Growing skills at all factory levels on manufacturing excellence principles is also a responsibility. The role requires managing the plant's Value Stream Mapping (current & future state) and leading the continuous improvement of Product Lead Time by animating transversal action plans. The leader will also ensure the implementation of concepts such as green/red principles, SPS principles, architecture lines, Short Interval Management, and Material Providing & Handling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain or relevant field.
  • Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing Tools (5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Visual management, Kaizen etc.) is required.
  • 4+ years of experience with any type of Production Systems (Ex: Toyota Production systems or any other similar systems).
  • Extensive experience with Agile Methodologies/Project Management.
  • Ability to set overall priorities and form action plans to implement & monitor for results.
  • Experience with cost saving projects for a manufacturing plant.
  • Experience in industrial mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
  • Ability to interact and lead others in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, project management and communication skills.
  • Experience with change management principles and demonstrated ability to drive and manage the change process. Lead by influence.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel) is a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the continuous improvement strategy for the whole process, both in Front-end & Core, from tendering to delivery.

  • Report the Direct Labor Productivity to support functions by using standard tools and processes.
  • Ensure the transversal animation to get sustainability of client Production System (SPS) level in the plant (including implementation of actions plans driven by SPS assessment).
  • Ensure the growing skills at all levels in the factory on the principles of manufacturing excellence.
  • Manage the plant Value Stream Mapping (current & future state) and lead the continuous improvement of Product Lead Time by animating transversal actions plan at plant level.
  • Ensure the implementation of the concept of green / red, principles of SPS, architecture lines, Short Interval Management, Material Providing & Handling.
