About The Position

Silgan Closures is hiring a Continuous Improvement Engineer at our Evansville, Indiana, manufacturing plant. This role is ideal for a Lean manufacturing, process improvement, or operational excellence professional who wants to drive Continuous Improvement initiatives in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred
  • 4 or more years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing or industrial production environment
  • 2 or more years of experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Lean Six Sigma initiatives
  • Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and standard work principles
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present operational data
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and training skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and drive continuous improvement projects from planning through implementation
  • Develop, deliver, and support Lean Six Sigma programs focused on operational excellence
  • Facilitate problem-solving activities, Kaizen events, TPM initiatives, value stream mapping, 5S, and standard work implementation
  • Assess current manufacturing processes to identify waste, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze operational and statistical data and communicate findings through reports and presentations
  • Train plant leadership and manufacturing employees on new processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Measure and validate results of improvement initiatives to ensure sustainable performance gains
