About The Position

Our client, a manufacturing company specializing in precision-engineered products, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive process optimization, improve product quality, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement Lean manufacturing practices, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver measurable results across production operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in continuous improvement, manufacturing, process engineering, or quality engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, and process optimization.
  • Experience with quality management systems, data analysis, and performance improvement tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements and authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • 5–7 years of experience preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI and ERP/MES systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce scrap, rework, defects, and operating costs while improving productivity and product quality.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve recurring manufacturing and quality issues.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing methodologies, including Kaizen, 5S, value-stream mapping, and standard work.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to optimize workflows, production processes, and equipment utilization.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure improvement results and ensure sustainable outcomes.
  • Document improved processes, establish standard procedures, and train employees on continuous improvement practices.
  • Support new product introductions, process changes, and initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and overall operational performance.
