About The Position

Supports process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within a functional area. Contributes to the effort to foster a culture of sustainable change within the area through embedding continuous improvement methodologies and the supporting framework to deliver business transformation. Uses a combination of tools to drive outcomes, including Kaizen, process redesign/improvement that could be related to system conversions, complex/structured problem solving. Networks with other continuous improvement professionals within the organization to develop best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, analytics, operations management, or related field.
  • 7 years of proven continuous improvement experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis.
  • Expertise in business process management software skills
  • Expert knowledge of Six Sigma tools
  • Intermediate MS Office skills

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of experience in the health insurance field preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads continuous improvement projects in a functional area, which enable the attainment of key strategic objectives to improve quality, reduce cost, and increase productivity.
  • Leads the development of process metrics and continuous improvement strategy and methodology.
  • Works closely with business managers to develop and implement process metrics.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement within business area and builds stakeholder network to accomplish their implementation.
  • Mentors colleagues in the usage of Continuous Improvement framework and tools.
  • Supports the delivery of accredited continuous improvement training to colleagues from other business areas.
  • Completes post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects.
  • Participates in special projects as requested by management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
