About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Technician. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. The shift hours are 8am - 5pm. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing environment is required.
  • Previous experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.

  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Must have a strong aptitude to interpret and design solutions with minimal information.
  • Must have interpersonal Skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with leading RIE’s/Kaizen/Manufacturing Engineering Capital Projects and other CI Activities in manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience with Lean manufacturing tools and language.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day floor support for continuous improvement and productivity improvements.
  • Make process improvements through attending Tier Meetings and collecting and analyzing 5S, productivity, and other manufacturing data to improve safety, productivity, 5S, and cost.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and engineering functions to fill gaps, quickly implement solutions, and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist with action items assigned to the OPEX function.
  • Assist in training of plant personnel in lean manufacturing tools and activities.
  • Implement visual controls throughout the facility or product line such as Marking floors, labeling, shadow boards, and information boards.
  • Assist with defining and requesting tools and other equipment needs.
  • Support training documentation for product line(s) and supporting documents like methods sheets, training videos, visual reference materials.
  • Support Eaton’s Industry 4.0 strategy.
  • Lead various kaizen events based around product line requests, CI, 5S.
  • Monitor success of implemented ideas and programs.
