About The Position

We are seeking a motivated continuous improvement professional to join our team. This role focuses on developing people, improving processes, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, quality systems, ISO standards, and continuous improvement methodologies like Six Sigma. You will act as a strong facilitator and coach, leading cross-functional teams, conducting audits and training, implementing High Performance (HP) systems, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning across multiple operations. Cement industry experience, auditing, training, and consulting experience are highly desirable. The position is located onsite at GCC's Tijeras, NM cement plant, with relocation assistance available. The role requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with ISO management systems and auditing processes.
  • Background in quality assurance, quality control, or continuous improvement.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Training, coaching, teaching, or facilitation experience preferred.
  • Consulting or change management experience is a plus.
  • Cement manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations teams to implement and sustain High Performance (HP) systems, including Continuous Improvement, JOBS, 5S, and ISO programs.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, efficiency projects, and problem-solving efforts across GCC operations.
  • Coach, train, and mentor teams on project management, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and operational excellence tools.
  • Conduct ISO, 5S, and system audits, provide performance feedback, and support compliance and risk assessment activities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional projects, onboarding, assessments, and best practice sharing to strengthen team capability and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, safety performance, and operational effectiveness using industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Promote a culture of safety, continuous learning, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
