About The Position

Penn State Beaver, in collaboration with Penn State Shenango’s Continuing Education Department, is seeking Part-Time IT and Cybersecurity Instructors to teach in the following program areas: CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+. The instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering effective instruction aligned with CompTIA certification objectives. Courses will be delivered live via Zoom in a synchronous, remote format.

Requirements

• A Master’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (or active candidacy for a terminal degree)
• Current CompTIA certifications in ITF+, Network+, and Security+
• Experience teaching or training in a virtual learning environment
• Strong communication, technology, and online classroom management skills
• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
• Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering effective instruction aligned with CompTIA certification objectives.
• Preparing and organizing course materials.
• Teaching scheduled sessions live via Zoom.
• Evaluating student progress and providing timely feedback.
• Submitting required documentation and reports accurately and on time.
