About The Position

The primary function of this position is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Housing Specialists by reviewing reports, monitoring staff’s work performance, and providing staff training. Ensure that the staff provides excellent customer service to internal and external clients. Works with the Operations Manager to ensure contract metrics are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a four-year college or university
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Supervisor/Management role
  • Minimum of year (1) year experience working with economically and socially disadvantaged individuals and/or families.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with staff and assist them by setting expectations.
  • Assess workload and determine caseloads and assign work to staff for processing
  • Set deadlines and timeframes for work completion
  • Generate reports to monitor staff processing activity to ensure goals and contract metrics are met
  • Make sure staff attends program training
  • Follow-up after trainings to sure all staff show consistency in work performance
  • Review weekly monitoring reports with the Continued Eligibility Manager and adjust assignments as necessary to achieve goals
  • Assist staff with issues concerning caseload complications
  • Generate system reports to assure work is being complete
  • Review and sign Intent to Terminate to ensure information is correct prior to sending information to client
  • Sign vouchers and execute contracts timely to assist clients in their moving process.
  • Conduct moves briefings (when required)
  • Conduct initial briefings (when required)
  • Attend informal hearings as required.
  • Ensure staff adheres to CVR personnel work policy.
  • Capability to identify growth opportunities for staff take the appropriate action when warranted.
  • Hold weekly meetings with staff to discuss policy and procedure changes, issues, or concerns.
  • Meet with Deputy Director bi-weekly to review/discuss changes or suggestions for changes to improve program operation
  • Develop internal operational procedures which are consistent with SFHA Administrative Plan and HUD Regulations
  • Work with finance to process the check run(s)
  • Monitor and update waiting list
  • Monitor PBV occupancy
  • Perform initial and annual evaluations on staff
  • Special Projects as assigned
  • All additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
