About The Position

SERVPRO is hiring a Contents Technician to help restore customers’ homes and businesses after damage. The role involves packing out belongings, cleaning and storing them safely, and returning them to customers. It is physical and varied work performed as part of a crew under the direction of a Contents Supervisor. No prior experience is required; training is provided, and the company pays for certifications. This position offers an entry point into the restoration industry, with progression toward Contents Supervisor and beyond.

Compensation is $15.00–$18.00 per hour, with the rate set based on experience. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with company participation; paid time off starting at eight days per year and increasing with tenure; eight paid holidays; and payment for job-related certifications and approved continuing education.

Requirements

• Reliability and the ability to show up consistently for the crew.
• Ability to lift and move items safely throughout the day.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Care and attention when handling other people’s belongings.
• Willingness to learn and take pride in doing the job properly.

Responsibilities

• Inventory and photograph customer belongings accurately.
• Pack, handle, and load items carefully for transport.
• Clean contents using the correct method for each type of item.
• Assist with warehouse storage, organization, and retrieval.
• Return items to customers and assist with placement.
• Follow safety practices on every job site.
• Keep the truck, equipment, and supplies clean and accounted for.
• Work as part of a crew under the direction of a Contents Supervisor.
