Content Strategy Manager

Cisco•San Jose, CA
•$145,200 - $184,100

About The Position

Content is a key element of how Cisco's integrated marketing campaigns come to life and we're looking for a Content Strategy Lead to shape a new campaign for AI Infrastructure buyers. This is a rare chance to build, not just maintain: to reimagine how content gets created in the age of AI, experiment with new formats, and create content buyers genuinely value —the kind that builds trust and drives our most important priorities as a result. You'll work cross-functionally to build a strategy and drive execution of demand-generating content across the funnel, from thought leadership to conversion and promotional assets. You'll partner closely with product marketing, partner marketing, campaign strategists and planners, and demand channel experts to turn insights into content that addresses customer needs, stands out in a noisy market, and drives measurable engagement. You'll treat AI as a creative collaborator to move faster, think bigger, and continuously raise the bar. You’ll mentor writers and manage agencies who support the campaign, guiding the work product and ensuring alignment with campaign priorities.

Requirements

  • 6–8 years in content strategy/content marketing
  • A track record of building full-funnel content strategies that drive demand
  • Strong hands-on writing and editing across formats, from long-form reports to promotional copy

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, plus strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing workflows and employees, contractors, and agencies in tools such as Asana and Workfront.

Responsibilities

  • Architect strategy that drives pipeline. Build demand generation content strategies by synthesizing customer and sales feedback, search and gen AI trends, existing content gaps, and product messaging to map content directly to top company priorities.
  • Embrace AI in the content lifecycle. Pioneer how AI transforms content at scale, from ideation to performance.
  • Set the creative bar. Own content quality across all asset types, flexing between formats and pushing the supporting team and agencies to maintain standards
  • Go deep on marquee work. Write and edit anchor assets, including sponsored articles, web pages, video scripts, and more for quality, originality, and strategic alignment.
  • Sharpen promotional content. Edit email, social, and paid media copy for messaging, brand voice, and engagement.
  • Influence across the org. Prioritize content that serves the audience first while balancing business objectives, aligning technical and senior stakeholders.
