About The Position

Nexus is seeking talented content writers with talent and culture experience to work on a range of client projects. These are contract roles to work on selected client engagements, with potential for longer-term contracts and possibly full-time roles. Working alongside internal creative and account teams, the role involves helping clients bring large-scale employee-facing programs to life, with messaging tailored for executives, people leaders, and individual contributors. Key focus areas include Talent & Culture (including Employee Value Proposition - EVP work), Ad Creative for digital talent attraction, and Digital & Web Content for career pages. Strong digital writing skills and SEO fluency are essential across all areas.

Requirements

  • 2 to 7 years of relevant experience as an intermediate to senior writer
  • Writing experience in Human Resources, Talent & Culture, Purpose & Values, EVP, Leadership, Storytelling, Talent Attraction, or Internal Communications (client-side), and/or demonstrated B2B experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills across long and short formats
  • Strong research skills
  • Digital and SEO fluency
  • Self-direction - excellent time management and organization, able to work independently
  • A collaborative spirit - easy to work with, reliable, and ready to push the envelope with innovative, disruptive work
  • Comfort working remotely - familiarity with MS Teams, video calls, and screen-sharing is a must

  • Strong French writing skills for the Quebec market

Responsibilities

  • Lead or participate in briefing, input, and discovery meetings; originate creative written concepts that respond to client briefs
  • Develop strategic content tailored to different audience segments, job families, regions, and levels of seniority
  • Create attention-getting concepts and clear direction for the design team - selling through your ideas and bringing words and art together into outstanding final work
  • Present outlines, drafts, and works-in-progress; gather client feedback and collaborate with internal teams to move projects forward
  • Partner with Project Managers and Account Managers to keep work on strategy, on vision, and on deadline
