About The Position

We are looking for a senior Content Strategist & Planner to take ownership of Groover’s content engine. The mission is freelance (2 to 3 days/week) and consists of planning, coordinating and creating our social media content and blog articles, while raising the quality and the reach of everything we publish. The role splits roughly 60% strategy and coordination (editorial lines, calendar, briefs, reviews, reporting) and 40% hands-on creation (scripts, captions, blog articles). You will work closely with Dorian, Co-founder, Chief Business & Music Officer, as well as with Myriam, Performance Marketing Manager, Thomas, Director of Curators & Services, and our network of social media contractors. Your north star is simple: grow the number of New Paying Users on Groover through content. Groover speaks every day to a community of 900,000 independent artists in 186 countries. Content is one of our strongest growth levers: it is how artists discover us, trust us and decide to launch their first campaign. Today we produce a lot, across many hands. We now need one senior contractor to set the direction, connect the dots between channels (social media, blog etc.) and make every piece of content work harder for acquisition. Join us to shape how independent artists all over the world discover Groover.

Requirements

  • Based in Europe or in the US (East Coast time zone)
  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy, social media or editorial roles, ideally in a startup, a scale-up or a consumer brand
  • A proven, successful track record : content you planned or created that grew reach and drove sign-ups or revenue (portfolio and numbers expected)
  • Hands-on creator: you can write a script, a hook and a blog article yourself, not only brief others
  • AI-savvy: you master AI tools to plan and produce faster (scripts, content variations, visuals)
  • Strong experience with Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and with SEO-driven blog content
  • Experience coordinating freelancers or contractors and running a content calendar
  • Data-driven mindset: you track performance and connect content to acquisition
  • Bilingual in English, written and spoken
  • Autonomous, organized and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Fluent or professional working proficiency in French
  • Knowledge of the music industry or the creator economy
  • Experience in a marketplace or subscription business
  • Regular usage of Notion, Google Workspace and analytics tools (GA4, Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio)
  • Passion for music and independent artists

Responsibilities

  • Own the content strategy: define our editorial lines for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and the blog in our different markets worldwide, aligned with our acquisition goals and our artists’ real needs.
  • Plan and coordinate: build and run the content calendar across channels, brief our social media contractors and make sure everything ships on time and on brand.
  • Create: write and produce high-impact content yourself: scripts, hooks, captions, video concepts and blog articles, using AI tools to produce faster and at scale.
  • Grow reach: improve the performance of what we publish through formats, trends, SEO and distribution, and turn reach into sign-ups and first campaigns.
  • Drive the blog for acquisition: plan SEO-driven articles in English and French and optimize existing ones. Orchestrate translations in other key languages (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese etc.)
  • Raise the bar: set quality standards, review and give feedback on the content produced by the team.
  • Measure and iterate: track performance, share regular performance updates with Dorian and Myriam, and double down on what drives New Paying Customers.
  • Work across teams: partner with Myriam on performance marketing and with Thomas to turn curators and services into great content stories.
