About The Position

Mayflower is a technology company building large-scale entertainment products for a global audience. Our platforms serve millions of users worldwide and rank among the top-50 most visited websites globally. For more than 10 years, we've been creating reliable, high-performance solutions at the intersection of product, engineering, and entertainment. We’re looking for a hands-on Content Specialist to help grow platforms’s audience by finding promising videos on our platform, editing them, and publishing them on third-party sites. Your main focus will be turning existing platform content into videos that attract viewers and bring new users to the platform. You’ll also experiment with original content and paid promotion to expand successful approaches.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in content management, video production, or content distribution.
• Hands-on video editing skills: you can independently turn source footage into a publishable video.
• Good judgment in selecting engaging footage and creating effective titles and thumbnails.
• Understanding of how content can drive traffic and attract new users.
• Ability to use performance data to improve your work.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently, manage a regular publishing schedule, and meet deadlines.
• Access to reliable high-speed internet.

Nice To Haves

• Experience uploading and optimizing videos for tube platforms.
• Familiarity with video SEO, platform discovery, and audience behavior.
• Experience with paid promotion, advertising placements, or media buying.
• Experience developing original content and working with creators or models.
• Availability for collaboration during European working hours.

Responsibilities

• Find and select videos: Explore platform content to identify videos with strong potential for external distribution. Refine selection criteria based on performance.
• Edit and adapt content: Cut footage, improve pacing, add branding and calls to action, and adapt videos to each platform’s formats and audience.
• Prepare publication materials: Create engaging titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and tracking links. Test different approaches to improve visibility and click-through rates.
• Ensure proper content rights: Verify and document creator consent and redistribution rights, and follow platform requirements in coordination with Legal.
• Upload and manage videos: Publish content on tube sites, and relevant third-party platforms. Maintain a consistent publishing schedule and keep accounts and content organized.
• Optimize for growth: Track views, engagement, and registrations with support from analysts. Use these insights to improve content selection, editing, and distribution.
• Explore new opportunities: Find additional platforms and test new video formats and publication approaches.
• Produce original content: Propose ideas and collaborate with creators on exclusive videos tailored to promising formats and audiences.
• Run paid promotion tests: Find advertising opportunities, purchase placements within agreed budgets, and evaluate results with the team.
