About The Position

Common Wealth is building an in-house content studio and is hiring a Content Production Manager to produce content that improves the financial lives of Canadians while helping Common Wealth build brand recognition and growth. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will turn ideas and expertise into distinctive, memorable content that educates, engages, and drives action. The primary goal is to build an audience and educate Canadians about financial topics, closing a gap in financial education. This is a hands-on role for an experienced producer who can take ownership and move fast, bringing organizational expertise to life in scalable content formats.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in content marketing, content production, or multimedia production.
  • Hands-on experience across multiple formats, including podcasting, short-form video, and YouTube.
  • Proven experience in growing an audience, building reach and trust over time.
  • Strong storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to make complex topics simple and engaging.
  • Proficiency in clear, compelling copywriting.
  • Ability to own content end-to-end and work independently.
  • Comfort working in a fast-growing environment where priorities shift.
  • Actively experimenting with AI technology to improve content production efficiency and quality.
  • Must be local to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and comfortable coming into the office a minimum of two days per week.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or an adjacent media or content environment.
  • Experience producing content across multiple brands or business lines.
  • Familiarity with retirement, financial planning, or personal finance topics.

Responsibilities

  • Create real, relatable personal-finance and retirement-related stories that build trust and connect with people.
  • Write and edit clear copy that simplifies complex financial topics.
  • Sharpen ideas from across the business into content worth sharing.
  • Assist in leading the production of high-quality content across video, podcast, written, and social media formats.
  • Build upon existing assets rather than starting from scratch.
  • Adapt voice, depth, and format to meet the needs of plan members, focusing on their needs before layering in practical, expert-backed guidance.
  • Distribute content at scale across video, email, and social media.
  • Work closely with marketing, financial planning, product, and program teams to keep content organized, visible, and on schedule.
