About The Position

Camunda is seeking a world-class writer to serve as their Copywriter. This role is responsible for all words Camunda puts into the world, operating at scale with AI tools and cross-functional collaboration. The goal is to produce content that stands out in the enterprise technology market, is memorable, optimized for SEO and AEO, and enjoyable to read. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role where the individual will own Camunda's content from end to end, including gathering context, producing work, organizing assets, and ensuring performance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in a writing or copywriting role, ideally within enterprise B2B technology or SaaS environments.
  • A portfolio that stops people in their tracks, demonstrating range (long-form and short-form, technical and accessible, strategic and creative).
  • An exceptional instinct for headlines and hooks.
  • A working understanding of enterprise technology.
  • Fluency with AI writing and productivity tools, and a genuine enthusiasm for using them to work faster and smarter at scale.
  • Strong SEO and AEO fundamentals, with hands-on experience optimizing content for both human readability and search/AI engine performance.
  • Highly organized with an ownership mindset.
  • A collaborative spirit and genuinely great teammate.
  • Based in the United States (highly preferred for this role).
  • BA in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working in or alongside a marketing team in an enterprise SaaS or technology company.
  • Ability and/or willingness to explore and use Camunda's product.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Camunda's primary writer across all content types—web, thought leadership, emails, product messaging, sales collateral, ads, and more.
  • Bring a sharp strategic lens to every asset, not just a writing one.
  • Write headlines, subject lines, and opening hooks that are among the best in the industry.
  • Leverage AI tools fluently to work at scale without sacrificing quality.
  • Partner closely with product marketing, sales, and leadership to gather information, understand audiences, and ensure content is accurate, compelling, and on-brand.
  • Translate complex enterprise technology concepts into clear, human, business-value-driven narratives.
  • Ensure all content is structured and written to perform for both human readers and search/AI engine discovery.
  • Own the content library. Keep assets organized, up to date, and consistently tracked.
  • Define and maintain measurement frameworks so performance is always visible and actionable.
