Content Marketing Lead

E2BSan Francisco, CA
$160,000 - $200,000Hybrid

About The Position

E2B is seeking a Content Marketing Lead to be the primary producer of content for the company. This role involves creating a variety of content types, including technical articles, social media posts, emails, customer stories, comparison pages, launch content, and sales materials. The Lead will manage the entire content lifecycle from idea generation through research, drafting, review, publication, and distribution. This is a collaborative position requiring the ability to interview technical experts, translate complex ideas into clear content, manage multiple projects, and consistently produce high-quality work. The Content Marketing Lead will own the content strategy and its execution, working closely with growth engineering, product, developer relations, sales, account management, and technical leaders. A key aspect of the role is ensuring every piece of content has a defined audience, purpose, distribution plan, and measurable success metrics.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience creating technical content for a developer audience.
  • Ability to read code and write credibly about sandboxing, isolation, runtime security, and adjacent infrastructure topics.
  • Strong editorial judgment, knowing when a topic requires a deep technical argument and when a piece should not be published.
  • Experience connecting content to a measurement model including citations, qualified pipeline, conversion, and revenue influence.
  • Comfort partnering directly with engineers, growth, sales, and customers to gather evidence and create content.
  • A bias toward ownership and experimentation, including forming hypotheses, shipping, measuring, learning, and making decisions.
  • The judgment to stop work that is not performing effectively; traffic alone is not the deliverable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience running an SEO or AEO (answer-engine optimization) program.
  • Ability to read simple code and write about sandboxing, isolation, and runtime security without a ghostwriter.
  • Experience building technical comparison, migration, or developer-education content for a B2B infrastructure company.
  • A track record of tying content programs to pipeline in a high-growth startup.

Responsibilities

  • Build the answer layer by creating problem-shaped, docs-adjacent content that earns citations in LLM answers and meets developer scrutiny.
  • Own the editorial loop for the AEO scanner, partnering with growth engineering to identify and address content gaps, and measuring citation share.
  • Publish credible comparison and migration content using transparent benchmarks and sufficient technical depth to gain engineers' trust.
  • Develop case studies from top accounts and integrate them with account-expansion plays to deliver timely evidence to buyers.
  • Manage the editorial calendar as a test backlog, prioritizing work by expected impact.
  • Operate an experiment loop by defining hypotheses, metrics, cohorts, and review dates for each content piece, and iterating or retiring content based on performance.
  • Conduct quarterly audits to remove or improve content that does not meet performance criteria (citations, pipeline influence, answer layer strength).

  • Healthcare
  • Vision insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 401k
  • Perks for in-office employees
