The creation of this role coincided with the transition of the Content Management Team from a stand-alone DB to the CMP module within Esko’s Artwork Management system WebCenter, designed to store all packaging copy data (including all translations) for the corporation. This system is utilized by the Artwork Management team for the creation of copy sheets, which are used by the Production Studio to create packaging art. This individual will be responsible for leading the team of Copy Managers in gathering, validating, and storing all packaging copy in the Database. Parallel to this, they will manage the translation process. They will act as the liaison between Artwork Managers and the translation house(s), ensuring translations are accurate, consistent, market approved, and delivered in a timely manner. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining consistency in our translations across all platforms, and variants. As special regulatory projects come up in the Global R&D Artwork Management Group, this individual will be responsible to change/add/eliminate groups of content and ensure that all database content is up to date. In addition, they must work closely with the Automated Production Studio to maintain consistency of the tags used to produce art through the automated production system.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in some combination of project management, data management, translations.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Must possess a better-than-average working knowledge of the Mac Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word and Excel, to create spreadsheets, and troubleshoot non-Romance font issues within Word.
  • Knowledge of all digital file formats and their best-practice applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, across regions and functions.
  • Superior organizational skills to handle the details of several projects simultaneously, with the ability to juggle pressing priorities with ease.
  • Willingness to acquire an in-depth working knowledge of Esko’s Content Managing Platform (CMP).
  • Outstanding data management skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Extremely detail oriented.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Adobe applications - especially InDesign - used for the automated art creation process a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Population and management of source data and its translations in the database, as well as being responsible for the accuracy of all source data stored.
  • Initiate and manage the translation process for new copy.
  • Collaborate with all key stakeholders as outlined in the translation process, to ensure the timely delivery of all translations.
  • Responsible for managing the process of local market translation validation.
  • Liaise with Regulatory Compliance to maintain up-to-date version of all regulatory copy in the system, as well as import of all new regulatory information.
  • Attend any team meetings and other relevant meetings that concern the data hub and its processes.
  • Adhere to all prior agreed upon policy and procedures as it relates to Packaging Artwork.
  • Handle and resolve all translation inconsistencies across all platforms and variants.
  • Acquire an understanding of the creation of multi-language documents across brands, and the ability to differentiate between these languages, and knowledge of language specific idiosyncrasies.
  • Collaborate with Artwork Managers to manage the identification and storage of all necessary data elements for copy sheet creation.
  • Help support SOPs to ensure copy stored is accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain an ongoing list regarding issues with user experience of the system, to contribute to upcoming software enhancements.
  • Manages the team’s everyday interactions with all stakeholders, from translation vendors, local market contacts and Artwork management team.
  • Provides regular updates to team ED.
  • Manages all ongoing regulatory copy change projects in collaboration with ED.
