Content Engineer

TenexNew York, NY

About The Position

Content Engineering is a new discipline that makes scale, governance, and speed possible in modern marketing without sacrificing craft. As a Content Engineer at Tenex, you’ll be responsible for writing, editing, and shipping the work produced by the system, acting as the operator who runs the pipelines. This role is for a highly intelligent writer who embraces the possibilities of AI, can produce substantial written content, significantly improve existing drafts, and has developed workflows for rapid output. You will treat AI as a collaborative tool, stay updated on model releases, and have already integrated AI into your existing workflows. You will execute across research, applied, and educational content pillars, working closely with the Director of Content Engineering and collaborating with Alex Lieberman (Cofounder of Tenex & Morning Brew) and the Tenex team to source unique insights. The work you do will contribute to defining Tenex's brand voice, values, and buyer experience.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of writing experience for a B2B SaaS company, media company, or premium publisher.
  • Proven track record of producing long-form content that engages readers.
  • Experience owning content pieces end-to-end.
  • Exceptional writing skills, capable of producing a 1,500-word piece that holds attention and improving rough drafts significantly.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with advanced AI tools and workflows, going beyond basic usage of tools like ChatGPT.
  • Actively using frontier AI tools daily and understanding recent developments and their significance.
  • Technical curiosity, with the ability to write prompts, build agents, evaluate outputs, and collaborate effectively with engineers.
  • Strong operator instincts, including the ability to ship on time, maintain quality under pressure, and troubleshoot workflows independently.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow within the content function, with the goal of potentially leading a content function in 2-3 years.
  • A commitment to quality and a distinct point of view in content creation.
