About The Position

CareerVillage.org is seeking a mission-driven, full-time Content & Curriculum Associate with deep expertise in career development to support their work in defining high quality AI career coaching. This role is for individuals passionate about career coaching and interested in contributing to a high-growth AI nonprofit. The Associate will be a leader in enhancing the content and effectiveness of CareerVillage's AI Career Coach, Coach. The position is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Coaching & Learning Expert. This role operates at the intersection of career development and AI, requiring adaptability, comfort with ambiguity, and a growth mindset for learning new technology.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a career advisor, coach, or in a related field coaching people through career exploration, career planning, and job searching, ideally with a diverse group of beneficiaries.
  • Instructional designer experience or Career Coaching Certification (i.e., CPCC, BCC, GCDF, NCDA certifications, etc.).
  • Experience translating coaching or advising expertise into written, structured learning content with defined objectives and success criteria.
  • Experience working in a very high-growth, fast-paced, rapidly-changing work environment.
  • Familiarity with established career development theories, pedagogical frameworks (i.e. Bloom’s Taxonomy), skills assessment, and competency-building techniques.
  • Ability to articulate curriculum concepts clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to manage and refine multiple curriculum projects simultaneously, with a focus on quality and learner outcomes.
  • Comfort with new tools and learning new technology on the job.
  • Candidates must be physically located in the U.S. and eligible to work here.
  • Must be able to work within normal business hours in the Pacific, Mountain, Central, or Eastern time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of new career development content and continuously update 50+ existing career topics to keep pace with learner needs, partner requests, and organizational strategy.
  • Develop and maintain prompts grounded in instructional design principles that guide the AI Coach's interaction with users.
  • Collect, prioritize, and incorporate feedback from various stakeholders regarding content.
  • Handle ad-hoc content requests from across teams.
  • Support the development of evaluative criteria to measure the quality and personalization of the AI Coach's delivery.
  • Contribute to benchmark creation to define quality career coaching in an AI context.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Partner Success, and other teams to develop content and ensure alignment with the platform's mission and goals.
  • Apply expert knowledge of career advising to guide content strategy, ensuring transformative and accessible activities for diverse learners.
