About The Position

This is a hands-on internship role supporting the development, production, and distribution of high-quality digital content to enhance the Kelley brand across various platforms. The intern will gain practical experience in a dynamic automotive marketing setting, contribute creative ideas, and learn industry best practices. The position offers exposure to real campaigns, content strategy, brand management, and experience with analytics, scheduling tools, and industry platforms, along with mentorship from experienced marketing professionals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Passion for social media, content creation, and storytelling.
  • Self-motivated, creative and eager to learn.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, planning, and executing social media content (photo, video, written copy) across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter).
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm creative campaign ideas aligned with dealership promotions, events, and brand messaging.
  • Capture and edit photo/video content featuring vehicles, dealership events, and team members using current tools and trends.
  • Write clear, engaging, and on-brand captions tailored to each platform and audience.
  • Design and schedule posts, reels, and stories to maintain a consistent online presence.
  • Support the execution of monthly content calendars and assist with real-time content opportunities.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Monitor social media performance metrics and assist in identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Help compile performance reports and contribute ideas for optimizing content strategies.
  • Stay up to date on automotive trends, social media best practices, and emerging digital marketing tools.
  • Bring fresh, creative ideas and perspectives to the team.
  • Assist with additional marketing initiatives such as email campaigns, website updates, and event promotion.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management to support the overall marketing department.
