About The Position

The Containment Associate is responsible for conducting audits of finished product prior to shipment to the Customer, performing Containment inspection and quality support, and providing support to Manufacturing in regards to quality issues. The role ensures the completion of Containment Inspection per applicable procedures and work instructions and has the authority to affect processes when needed.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Two years in manufacturing.
Able to use basic measurement equipment (calipers, mics., etc.).
Good organization skills.
Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
Self-motivated.
Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift up to 32 pounds at a time.
Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed.
Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
Must wear gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear protection, per the Elemental Operations Instructions Safety Points.

Responsibilities

Perform Containment Inspection per the Containment Inspection Instructions, considering shipping schedules, per applicable work instructions.
Completion of Containment Inspection Sort sheets.
Ensure containment actions are carried out when inspection failures occur.
Ensure appropriate part identification and inspection status are present before release of product.
Defect verification.
Identify suspect material per applicable work instructions.
Containment and notification to internal departments.
NCMT issuance.
Assist in Process/Product capability studies as assigned.
Participate on problem solving/continuous improvement teams as assigned.
Record significant events in Quality Department Daily Activity Log.
Support special builds and safe launch containment when necessary.
Support manufacturing with containment activities as needed (supplier sorts and non-conforming material).
Other duties as assigned.
