About The Position

Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs compactors and containers. This role involves working under limited supervision, selecting from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. The technician will perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services, including inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems. They will utilize computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes, estimate time and material costs, and requisition new parts. The role requires performing all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs), conducting service calls for emergency breakdowns, and performing safety checks on compactors and containers. Additionally, the technician will complete required paperwork, document parts usage, account for repair times, and assist senior technicians. Maintaining a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures is crucial.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver's license and must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities
