About The Position

WM is seeking a CNG Diesel Mechanic for their 2nd shift operations. As a CNG Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for fixing trucks and equipment that service over 20 million customers across the USA. You will work on equipment requiring a high level of skill and determination, using modern tools and procedures for maintenance on diesel and CNG trucks. The position is based in a repair/maintenance shop at the Aurora, CO hauling site.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of relevant work experience
  • A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record
  • Be over 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
  • Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
  • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
  • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Perform safety checks on vehicles.
  • Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
  • Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
  • Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
