About The Position

We’re looking for a Consumption Leader to shape how customers use water, influence behaviour at scale, and deliver meaningful change across our region. This is a senior leadership role within our Billing, Collections & Consumption team, with real ownership of water‑saving strategies, customer engagement programmes and regulatory outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in water or energy efficiency, consumption or resource management
  • Proven leadership in delivering programmes or projects at scale
  • The ability to influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills — from community conversations to regulatory reporting
  • Tenacity, creativity and a passion for driving meaningful behaviour change
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) and a natural curiosity for what works best for customers

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction and delivery of behaviour‑change initiatives that support key performance commitments (PCC and CMEX), ensuring customers are engaged, informed and motivated to use water wisely.
  • Designing and delivering customer engagement and behaviour‑change strategies
  • Working closely with regulators and external partners (EA, Ofwat, Defra and industry groups)
  • Shaping and delivering plans within the Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP) and AMP programmes
  • Leading water‑saving initiatives including smart meter consumption journeys, customer side leakage and smart devices
  • Managing and inspiring Consumption Project Managers to deliver joined‑up, customer‑first outcomes
  • Using insight and segmentation to tailor messages that genuinely resonate
  • Collaborating with Communications, Operations and Customer Services to deliver consistent, impactful messaging
  • Use data to drive performance and enhance digital customer journeys
  • Lead with purpose — creating a positive, inclusive and safe environment where people can do their best work.
  • Actively role‑model our ‘Safer Every Day’ culture.
