About The Position

The Consumer Titles Specialist I will collaborate with the Consumer Servicing team. This role is key to ensuring the seamless end-to-end title process of collateralized loans and leases. Responsibilities include processing paid-in-full reports, resolving rejections, incoming loan packages, incoming perfected titles, out-of-state transfer requests, and completing title documents, while also supporting inbound and outbound calls. This position requires excellent customer service skills, an aptitude for shifting priorities based on business needs, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, credit union staff, and members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year preferably in a customer/member service role
  • Previous experience with titles helpful
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge of Consumer Lending originations or financial industry experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and execute tasks within Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Ability to solve problems and analyze with a high degree of accuracy
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritize workload based on department requirements and member needs while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently while promoting a positive team environment
  • Perform basic mathematical computations
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing, comprehend materials and follow instructions
  • Exercise good judgment/reasoning and resourcefully solve routine problems
  • Organize and handle multiple tasks and prioritize
  • Handle confidential/sensitive information
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and agency requirements (SCRA, Fair Credit Legislation, CFPB)
  • Ensuring accuracy and completion of activities associated with the processing of all consumer title processes to minimize rejections/delays
  • Tracking individual productivity and results to maintain and meet established team & department SLAs
  • Responding to all member inquiries and questions via outbound and inbound calls and email
  • Interacting with governmental agencies and dealerships to assist with error resolutions, lien perfections, and general title questions
  • Supporting and executing timely follow-up on unperfected liens for direct and indirect collateralized loans
  • Reporting on vendor performance and service standards to the management team
  • Being available to work as scheduled and report to work on time
  • Being willing to accept supervision and work well with others
