About The Position

Heartland REMC is now accepting applications for a Consumer Services Representative position. This role involves representing Heartland REMC and Heartland Highspeed Fiber in a friendly and professional manner, positively influencing all visitors and contacts. The representative will assist members in establishing, maintaining, and disconnecting electric and fiber services according to established policies. They will also help members with billing, payment arrangements, and account information, while promoting programs designed to better serve the consumer. The position requires considerable skill in effectively dealing with a variety of people, even under difficult circumstances. The ability to listen and respond courteously to member comments and complaints, resolve problems within the scope of the position, and refer specific issues to appropriate personnel is essential. Applicants must be willing to work at either office.

Requirements

Considerable skill in effectively dealing with a variety of people under difficult circumstances.
Knowledge of office equipment.
Computer experience including Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

Associates degree is preferred but not required.

Listening and responding courteously to members' comments and complaints.
Resolving problems within the scope of this position.
Referring specific problems and inquiries to the appropriate Cooperative personnel.
