About The Position

Our client is seeking to fill a Consumer Loan Underwriter – Indirect Lending role in the Edwardsville, IL area. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting and processing loan applications from car dealers of the Indirect Program and making the determination to approve or deny indirect loans within authorized limits. The opportunity has a generous hourly rate of up to $20/hr and a benefits package. (This is not a remote position).

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Two years of similar or related experience in the lending environment
Knowledge of lending software and data processing systems.
Knowledge of legislation, regulation, policies, and procedures pertaining to lending practices.
Proficient with Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

Underwrites and makes a determination to approve or deny indirect loans within authorized limits.
Ensures documents are complete and accurate according to policies and compliance regulations.
Assists with reporting, task management, dealer engagement promotions, and other job-related duties as assigned.
Analyzes a loan applicant's creditworthiness by reviewing credit bureau reports and credit scores.
Enters application data into the lending software and core systems.
Responsible for dealer relationship building through dealer visits and phone calls.
