About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Commerce in fulfilling our Vision of Empowering Generations, Transforming Communities. This is achieved through delivering Remarkable Member Service as defined by our Service Standards as well as building and maintaining strong member relationships through identification of member's financial needs and effectively recommending appropriate products and services to meet those needs. The Consumer Hub Loan Officer will act as a liaison between members and our credit union, helping identify the products and services that will best help our members be financially successful. They will help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely, accurate, courteous, and confidential manner in accordance with established credit union lending policies. Loan Associates will drive sales and success through service, ensuring a positive member experience and achieve sales and referral goals by continually promoting and cross-selling credit union products and services.

Requirements

Knowledge of credit union deposit and loan products and services to include mortgages as well, as ability to promote and cross-sell.
Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to conduct consistently professional and productive interviews with loan applicants which may involve recommending alternatives when credit analysis reveals ineligibility for a loan.
Must work as a team to meet personal and group Monthly Sales Goals and Objectives.
Requires excellent member service and follow through - we are here to take care of our members.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule Monday-Friday.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Manages inbound calls and outbound sales calls, effectively assists members with loan applications received via telephone and online, interviews the applicants obtaining the required information, explaining loan options, interest rates, terms, and collateral requirements including ancillary products.
Go the 'extra mile' to build relationships and enhance member loyalty and satisfaction throughout the lending process, assess member needs, explore all options, introduce different types of loans, and cross sell products and services to accomplish credit union and departmental goals.
Remains aware of loan application deadlines and informs members about them.
Obtains all documentation required for the loan including requirements for approval by underwriters prior to submitting the loan to the Centralized Processors for funding.
Maximize personal productivity by utilizing dedication and drive, insightful listening skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to achieve all levels of member, Loan Hub, and personal goals

Continually increases subject matter and product knowledge to successfully explain, refer, originate, and complete any product offered by the credit union.
Facilitates members' use of self-service solutions to enhance their experience and maintain the financial centers and Loan Hub operating efficiency.
Performs job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, the State of Florida, and any applicable State laws for financial centers located in other States.
Complies with Reg E, BSA, OFAC, and CIP requirements such as reporting suspicious or unusual activity to manager.
