About The Position

Responsible for reviewing and rendering decisions on prime credit applications using the loan origination system while ensuring adherence to established credit policies and risk standards. This role evaluates creditworthiness, balances risk against growth objectives, and prepares analytical reports on loan performance, trends, and key risk indicators. The position interacts directly with applicants to obtain required information and collaborates closely with sales and operations teams to support an efficient, customer focused lending process.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge in Consumer Lending specifically in Home Improvement Lending policies, procedures, and practices.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging clients.
• Ability to develop relationships.

• High School Diploma required or equivalent work experience.
• 2-4 years of Consumer Lending experience required, ideally within home improvement financing.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with MeridianLink or similar systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and decisions prime credit applications using the loan origination system.
• Performs right size credit risk while adhering to policy and supporting growth objectives.
• Prepares and analyzes reports related to loan performance, trends, and risk metrics.
• Communicates directly with applicants when additional information is required to complete a decision.
• Partners closely with sales and operations teams to ensure an efficient lending process.
• Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department.
• Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules.
• Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
